Our products: Get to know True Blue Vickers

The hydraulic parts exporter specializes in four production lines: Vickers, Denison, Rexroth hydraulic pump series, servo valves and proportional valves.

HPS is proud to offer Vickers products, which offer an incredibly diverse range of applications and enduring quality. Known for their vibrant blue color, Vickers hydraulic components are one of the oldest known names in fluid power.

With over two million hydraulic parts on the shelf, HPS has the largest inventory availability of obsolete, discontinued, long-lasting and hard-to-find Vickers products.

What is Vickers? Or rather... Who is Vickers?

Vickers hydraulics are named after a man considered the "father of industrial hydraulics", Harry Franklin Vickers (1898 - 1977), an American industrialist and inventor from California.

After returning from his time serving in the US Army Signal Corps during World War I, he founded the company that became the brand: Vickers Manufacturing.

The company, later known as Vickers, Inc. multiple innovations in hydraulic power, including the first hydraulic steering system.

In response to its rapid growth in the automotive sector, as well as other industries, the company moved its headquarters to Detroit and merged with Fisher body to form Sperry Corporation and Sperry Vickers, of which Harry Vickers was president.

After many years and many successes, Vickers was acquired and became part of Eaton Products Holdings in 1999.

The recently acquired Vickers brand by Deafness continues to lead the industrial world with a range of high quality piston pumps, valves, A10VG Series Piston Pumps, cylinders and filtration products that benefit many manufacturers.

Vickers hydraulics on the market

An experienced provider of power and motion control systems serving the industrial, vehicle, construction, commercial and semiconductor markets, Vickers is a global brand that represents a significant portion of all fluid power products on the market.

Vickers hydraulic products can be used in many different applications and industries, such as:

Outer space

Navy

Mobile phone

Industrial

Building

Agriculture

Mining

lawn and garden

And much more.

Vickers is an industry leader in low-speed, low-torque (LSHT) hydraulic actuator technology, known for its reliable high-power density, modularity, and economical design.

Its products are also known for its energy efficient products and services that help end users effectively manage electrical, A4VG Series Piston Pumps, and mechanical power in more reliable, efficient, safe, and sustainable ways.

The Vickers brand, formerly known as Eaton-Vickers, belonged to the group of liquid power products now known as Danfoss Power Source. Although the brand is in transition from a business operations perspective, quality, reputation, reliability and wide applications are expected to remain as strong as ever with the Vickers brand.

What makes Vickers an All-Star?

Vickers is a highly adaptable brand that not only has a strong demand for new products in the market; It is also a brand where remanufacturing excels. This is why.

Vickers is a reliable product. Their parts and assemblies are well made and as a result, they are known to still work. Rigid manufacturing of their products allows high-quality remanufacturers like HPS to take non-functioning pumps, motors and more and rebuild them to original equipment condition after a single component failure.

When hydraulic pumps, motors, or valve cores fail, it is usually one component that is damaged. The rest of the unit often remains in good working order.

Vickers continues its high performance long after remanufacturing and assembly, making it naturally suitable for this process.

HPS offers a long supply list of remanufactured Vickers series pumps, motors and valves.

Vickers Eaton is a safe bet

HPS has the largest inventory availability of obsolete, discontinued, long-awaited, and hard-to-find products. Among the more than two million PGH Series Internal Gear Pumps on the shelf, Vickers-Eaton stands out as:

A world-renowned manufacturer of hydraulic products

A production line capable of many different applications and markets

A Leader in Low Speed Torque (LSHT) Hydraulic Actuator Technology

Durable, high-performance production line ideal for remanufacturing

HPS offers a wide variety of high quality hydraulic products and we are confident

The Effects of Summer Heat on a Hydraulic Fluid

As the summer heat rises in large facilities, businesses using fluid power systems must take steps to ensure their fluid power equipment is equipped to handle the high temperatures.   While cold weather is responsible for some liquid power system failures, hot weather has its own drawbacks.   By understanding how heat affects your fluid power system and preparing your fluid power systems for the summer season, you reduce risks to your hydraulic equipment that can lead to costly downtime and increased maintenance demands. In this article, you will find preparation information and tips to help you understand and mitigate the effects of heat on Rexroth valve hydraulic fluid . It is important to understand viscosity. Be sure to read and understand the viscosity chart for your oil to understand how oil viscosity changes at different operating temperatures.   The viscosity of petroleum-based hydraulic oil decreases with increasing temperature. This reduces its a...

3 Directional Control Valve Problems & Fixes

Malfunctioning Direct Control Valves (DCVs) can cause problems in your customer's hydraulic system. You can quickly fix some DCV problems when the hydraulics are online. This article provides information on 3 DCV-related issues that the end user should be aware of. There are many ways DCVs can reduce system performance. The most common are sticky/non-slip, internal leaks, and external leaks. Problem #1: sticks/doesn't convert Most DCV valves use a sliding spool/bore design. When the valve is stuck, the spool cannot change its positions when the actuator is using normal force. Various factors can cause this sticking, including contamination, sediment, mechanical failure, or actuator failure. Let's take a look at these common causes. radioactive contamination When solid particulate contamination occurs between the orifice and the spool, the normal amount of force required to move the spool increases beyond the limits of the actuator. The spool gets stuck and will not move u...

Understanding variable displacement pumps

Almost all hydraulic applications use hydraulic pumps. The pump performs the task of converting mechanical energy into hydraulic energy. Take reservoir fluid and transfer it to other system components through pipes. From simple hand pumps to complex piston and gear pumps, you can find many classifications of hydraulic pump . A manual pump requires mechanical force to start the process, while complex pumps use electric motors to actuate hydraulic pumps. Forestry equipment, mining machinery, excavators, dump trucks, cranes, fireworks, loaders, etc. They use hydraulic pump applications. Positive displacement and non-positive displacement are the two main classifications of hydraulic pumps. Non-positive hydraulic pumps produce a continuous flow and a positive displacement pump produces a constant flow approximate to a constant speed regardless of pressure changes. Here, we will discuss a specific positive displacement pump called variable displacement pump. A variable displacement pump...
